Chef Kari Baltz has travelled throughout the world as part of a diplomatic family. Upon joining the Foreign Service, Kari decided to pursue a career in the culinary arts. Studying in China, Croatia, Italy, Jerusalem, New York City and Thailand, Kari has developed cooking techniques and flavors which showcase these countries.
While in Thailand, Kari pursued degrees in both Cuisine and Bakery from Le Cordon Bleu, eventually graduating valedictorian.
Kari and her family have now moved back to the mountains of Midway, Utah. She has cooked at The Montage Hotel in Deer Valley, a Park City based catering company, and has recently worked as a food artist for a cookbook author. Urbane Fare was created in 2020 and offers the following services:
